Theft From Motor Vehicles |
||
|
Dear Resident,
We have seen a marked increase in vehicle crime recently, in particular theft from motor vehicles.
As a friendly reminder, we would encourage everyone to take a few simple precautions to help reduce the risk of vehicle theft and theft of personal belongings from your vehicles.
Here are a few simple but important tips to keep in mind:
· 🔒 Always lock your car, even when parked in your driveway or for just a few minuets. · 👜 Keep Valuables out of sight. Bags, laptops, phones and loose change left in view can attract thieves. · 🔑 Never leave your keys or key fob inside the car, even for a quick stop. · 💡Park in well-lit, Visible areas, especially at night. · 🔏 Consider using Anti-Theft devices, such as steering wheel locks or car alarms. · 🪟 Ensure all windows and sunroofs are fully closed before walking away from your vehicle. · Vehicle fob consider using a faraday pouch or box - signal blocker.
